Ricardo Sasiain Sosa

Prof. Dr. h.c. Abg. Ricardo Daniel Sasiain Sosa is a renowned Paraguayan lawyer and distinguished business leader. As CEO of Sasiain Corp, he leads with strategic vision a company that drives high-impact legal, commercial and technological solutions.

A graduate in Legal Sciences from the Catholic University of Our Lady of the Assumption, his professional career began in 2001 in the Judiciary. Since then, he has held key positions in both the public and private sectors. At the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, he served as Deputy Director of the Procurement Operations Unit, specializing in public acquisitions through Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) programs and international training in foreign direct investment (Japan, JICA).

After his time in the public sector, he founded Sasiain y Asociados S.A. and later Sasiain Corp, the company of which he is CEO and main representative. Thanks to his experience in administrative law, public procurement and business leadership, he has positioned himself as an influential figure in the development of legal and corporate business in Paraguay.

Honorary Doctorate (Honoris Causa) awarded by the Ibero-American Federation of Lawyers (FIA) in 2023.

Legal representation in relevant cases such as the International University Tres Fronteras (UnInter), where the Supreme Court of Justice granted a key precautionary measure in defense of university autonomy.

Alternate Member of the Board of Directors of the National Development Bank, a position that allowed him to actively participate in the strategic decisions of a key institution for the country's development.
